Budweiser Clydesdales
This past October in my small town of Patchogue the Budweiser Clydesdales made their way down our Main St and hand-delivered Budweiser to many bars. I had a chance to photograph this historic event. The last time the mighty Clydesdales were on Long Island was in 1978. The year I was born. I had some inside knowledge of where they were boarding the horses for the stay on Long Island.
Many years ago I did a bit of equine photography but I always wanted to do a studio style session with a horse. I saw an opportunity to possibly do this with the famous Clydesdales. I head down to Clare Rose our local beer distributor which was where the horses were spending a few days. I figure why not ask? The worst that could happen is they say no. Long story short I did a family photo for the owner with one of the Clydesdales in return to photograph them. I also had to get permission from Anheuser Bush. The Clydesdale handler Lane was very accommodating with me. Below are some of my final images as well some behind the scenes (BTS) videos I took, as well as the Main St Parade slideshow
